October 1, 2009. Despite the natural disasters Ondoy and
Pepeng coming one after the other, U92 was born.
Boasting of an impressive roster of radio jocks from
all walks of entertainment life, star MTV VJ's Sarah Meier
and KC Montero, local celebrities Cesca Litton and
Pia Magalona, veteran jocks Joshua Yu and Patti Malay, to pop
culture icons The Brewrats, the station burst into the industry
with much aplomb (though, very little fanfare). The music,
courtesy of Ryan Armamento, resident Program Director,
was as crisp and new as the voices that introduced them.
It was a heady mix-a new one, a different sound and
definitely an interesting experience.
And thus, the radio revolution began.
Six months in and U92 is all but ready to let its presence
be really felt. The loud rumblings it has been causing since
last year are now building up to become actual waves.
Always ready to change up to appeal to the broadest audience
with the best quality programs, freshest music and most
exciting events, U92, under the leadership of Bi-Anne Tupas, its
Station Manager, is aiming for the top. Where it belongs,
where it's always cool to be U!
